Sometimes I head off to the local zoo just to watch the creatures there. On my last visit, the pale afternoon sun cast a soft glow on a scoop of pelicans resting beside the pond.

A pair of small brown mongoose scurried in and out of the burrows….
while an egret took a leisurely stroll on the shady tree-lined pathway.
And an albino baby monkey’s climbing lesson was in full swing on a tiny stump of a branch all the while making sure that his mom wasn’t too far away.

Cute captures!
I’m in love with the baby albino monkey!
A “scoop” of pelicans. What a lovely word… Is that the official collective noun, or did you make that up?
What a cute baby monkey! And is that a mom pelican and babies? Are a group of them called a Scoop? How far away do you live from the zoo? I think if it was close, I would practically live there!
Wonderful shots from your zoo visit. I like seeing all the different animals at the zoo. The baby albino monkey is just adorable. Thanks for sharing your world, have a great day.
