Blooming Friday/ New Year’s Day

Welcome to the first Blooming Friday of 2010! The cosmos has just started to bloom and the hoverflies are here too. The yellow bloom of the Black-eyed susan vine was taken at an outing on the outskirts of the city. There’s something so cheerful about that yellow that I wanted to include it in my post. It’s a herbaceous prennial climbing plant from the Acanthaceae family and was happily blooming on a fence close to the roadside.

I wish all my blogger friends and all visitors to this page A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Happy New Year Kanak! I can see why you wanted to include that pretty yellow bloom. I wish mine had bloomed this past year. I know it was because I didn’t have it in enough sun. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Hi Kanak, what a lovely way to begin the year! The little buzzer is so sweet, a reminder to us going through a colder than normal snap of temps that spring will soon bring us smiles galore. In the meantime, your photos and words will do the same. 🙂

    • kanak7 says:

Frances…loved reading your words! The sights around us remind me so much of your spring. If only we had a lull in the growing/flowering period, spring would have been the highlight of the year! Thank you so much for stopping by.
