Today’s Flowers #123

Welcome to Today’s Flowers. The shocking pink cockscomb is from my sister’s garden. Sometimes, when there isn’t much colour around, it’s nice to see something bright, tall, and rather wild-looking blooms such as these.

To see other blooms from around the world, please head over to

My thanks to the TF team: Santilli, Denise, Pupo, Sandy Carlson

This is gorgeous. I have never seen one before.

  2. These are wonderful flowers. They grow pretty easy from seed so try and collect the seed when the blooms are finished.

Wow your close up make the comb looks like fur. Hope you are keeping warm during this winter 😉

  11. i have seen these flowers and taken pictures of them before, but never this big and tall! these are unusual and strange, rather stunning!

  12. Andrea says:

We have lots of this too, which becomes invasive if left alone, as they have lots of seeds which become like weeds the next rainy season. We even have the very big cockscomb. Now you reminded me of it which i can post for Hot Loud and Proud this month. You can post a big one again and we can link, hehe. I wonder if there are other colors of the big ones. I just saw yellow of the feathery type.

I think you got these picture in a hurry, that’s why the second picture is out of focus. You must give it another try when the combs grow bigger.

  14. Esta flor é linda e alegra o jardim. Me lembra muito minha infância!

  15. Arija says:
