Our World/Nothao

Welcome to Our World Tuesday! Today I’m sharing a few images of  Nothao , a  great place to stay for visitors to our town, Haflong. It’s owned and run by a friend’s brother and his charming wife. The gardens have a wonderful collection of plants but the rain played spoilsport so I couldn’t get very many pictures. In the above picture is a pomelo tree. We usually see the round variety of the fruit in our area. It’s the first time that I’ve seen pomelo in this shape. Must be sweeter. On the right is an open dining area decorated with old and interesting photographs and ethnic ware. Another delightful aspect of the dining area is that it overlooks a pond brimming with orange fish!

Cute cottages dot the complex and the plants outside every cottage/rooms are a treat to the eyes!

Hi Kanak, i thought you also have a BnB there? I very much love to go to your part of the world, mainly because of the scenic mountain ranges and the cool climate. However, it entails long long travels and big budget for me, haha! lots of budgetting to do first.

Hi, kanak7! What a delightful place Nothao is! I’d like to enjoy meals in that open dining area overlooking the pond in person. Pomelo fruits would be like our “zabon (shaddock)” produced in warm southern part.
