Not wanting to remain seedless in September, I went and bought a whole lot of seeds. Among them was a round variety of eggplant named Round Beauty. Why September, one might ask. Well, the flower shops and nurseries start their not-so-aggressive selling then. As a gardener one is always tempted to buy. Never mind even if you lack the space for all the round beauties, a gardener always finds a way!
And in December, I’m rewarded by this bloom. The first from the batch of plants in pots and cement bags. I noticed it the other day and rushed inside the house to get the camera. And an added bonus was this pretty ladybug. Among all the vegetable blooms, the eggplant’s must be one of the prettiest!
December beauty blushing ever so coyly! The ladybird’s a bit busy there! 🙂
Pami/Tipu,
I ended up taking several pictures of the ladybird traversing the length and breadth of the brinjal leaf! Hey, who was supposed to be the star here:-) Thanks for coming to the housewarming!!
The ladybird definitely stole the show! Just left a note for you on Friday bloom. Just grand as usual. I forget you know me as Pami. :)))) Had a chat with Molly today with a suggestion. Have a restful weekend.
Tipu and Pami
Yes, a really pretty flower, reminds me a bit of the white flower of a potatoplant. And of course I will continue to follow you here on your new adress 🙂
Mia,

Lovely new site, Kanak,
interesting how similar the solanum flowers look on the various species.

Kanak,
Like your new home! I attempted to add it to my blog list and it did not got. It said try again later.
I hope that works out later, Randy. happy that you’ve visited me here:)
It is a lovely flower indeed! I like the contrast of the blossom against the the textured stem of the plant. Nice new blog, the twinkling and falling stars are nice in the background…maybe its snow?
Hi Karrita,
It’s snow! I like the falling-stars-look as you say and at this time of the year (even if I am in the tropics), why not?:) Thank you for being here! Love it!
